Is Your Business a Side Hustle?

Do you think of your business as a side hustle? Do you call it that way? If so, how do you feel, deep down, about the appellation?

To me, side hustle brings forth feelings of hardship, hopelessness, a bit of shame and a tinge of despair. If you are like me, remove ‘side hustle’ from your vocabulary immediately! Such emotions can only get in the way of your success.

Does ‘side hustle’ make you feel bad? Drop the name!

On the other hand, if ‘side hustle’ brings you joy, satisfaction and hope of fruits after (hard) labour, by all means, keep the name! Repeat it as often as possible and feel happy about your business. Then it will grow to match your vision.

Building a business that will outlive you is like building a house that your children will inherit. You have a plan. Then you start with the foundation, which may cost you more than the rest of the house. As you work on the foundation of your house, it will be long before anyone sees the actual house.

The foundation of your business is a positive attitude. Be ‘happy now’ always as you work on turning your vision into reality. You will be amazed by the results.
