Why Training Hasn’t Changed Your Life

and what you can do about it

How much training have you done this far since that day when you decided to turn your life around? How many webinars have you watched? How many (virtual) events have you attended? Most importantly, are you happy with the way your life looks now?

If you are not, the issue could be that you are actually not teachable. Let me explain. Being teachable doesn’t mean being willing to learn. That’s only half of the attitude you need. The other half is being ready to accept the changes that come with applying the acquired knowledge to your life; to your business in particular. Your level of teachability should be equal to your level of willingness to accept change. That’s the only way you will get real results.

Do you want to learn a new healthy way of weight management? Be ready to follow the suggested diet to the letter and to make time for the advised regular exercises. Are considering attending an upcoming workshop on business management? Set aside the budget and be ready to apply what you’ll learn to your business. And this regardless of the opposition you are likely to meet from some of your team members.

Now you understand why Dale Carnegie said that “Knowledge isn’t power until it is applied.” Did you ever attend training only to fail to apply the lessons? Please share your experience in the comments.
